Arlin Sorensen
Founded HTG Peer Groups in 2000, the MSP owners' community ConnectWise acquired in 2018 and now runs as IT Nation Evolve.
Background
Arlin Sorensen founded HTG Peer Groups in 2000 as a peer community for owners of IT service businesses, after building and running HTS (Heartland Technology Solutions), a VAR and MSP across five Midwestern states that was sold in 2013. ConnectWise acquired HTG in 2018 and runs it as IT Nation Evolve, which marked its 25th year in 2025. Now semi-retired, Arlin stays close to the Evolve community and in November 2025 joined the board of Synthreo, an AI platform built for MSPs, as an independent advisor.
