The Network Documentation Workbook

By Karl W. Palachuk.

About the Book

The Network Documentation Workbook is a workbook for recording how a client network is configured, written for consultants who support small and midsize businesses.

It was published in 2005 by SMB Nation Press and has been followed by a consultant edition. For an MSP owner it is most relevant to onboarding and documentation standards: what gets written down, where it is kept, and who updates it. Because of its age, specific products named in it may be dated, while the documentation approach can still be compared against current practice.
